My camera is not behaving...again.
I don't have pictures of my rainy walk at sundown with the kids yesterday. We had spent almost the entire day inside working on our myriad of projects. After Court earned $4.80 pulling out staples in the now wooden sub floor that is my kitchen, I decided we just needed to get out.
We arrived home an hour later soaking wet but happy with bright yellow forsythia branches in hand.
I don't have pictures of our powder room renovation that is nearing completion. We are waiting for the sink to arrive and I can hardly wait. Keeping up with the kids hand washing has been difficult and probably the reason for our spring colds.
I do have pictures of mother's day.
Just a couple of years ago, as I left the home of friends whose house was on the yearly Christmas tour, I was handed a cup of delicious coffee. They had dreams of opening up a roastery and cafe. They have accomplished their dream. It is where I met my mom on mother's day...
I love the stripes and the blackboard made from an old screen door. I love the metal chairs and the grey walls.
I love the black trim and wood banquets.
I loved the carrot cake...
and the time with my beautiful mom.
That morning I found solace in her and some much needed inspiration for our kitchen renovation.
